## On the Subject of the Strip CM

A machine that knows no bounds when it comes to ciphers.

Create a Strip Key by following the instructions below:

• Take the Nth digit on screen 1 and multiply by 10.
• Add the Nth digit on screen 2 to the number you got in the previous step.
• Find the alphabet strip labeled with that number.
• Shift the alphabet strip until the left most letter is the Nth letter of the encrypted word.
• This alphabet strip becomes the Nth row of your Strip Key.

Convert the letter on screen A to a Value via the Value Table. Take the value, modulo 25, plus 2. If the Submit Button is white, then subtract 28 by the value. The final resulting value is the column to read, top to bottom, in the Strip Key to get a decrypted word.
