On the Subject of Maze Identification

Yep, that’s definitely a maze.

Use WASD or Arrow keys to navigate the maze, with up/down or W/S moving you forward and backward, and left/right or AD rotating you in place.

  • CTRL+Arrows will place walls around the square you are in, or simply click narrow cells to mark them as walls.
  • By default, CTRL+Up will mark the wall above the arrow regardless of the arrow’s direction - the checkbox below will swap the behavior of CTRL+Arrows to placing walls relative to the direction you are facing.
  • The button below the maze or R will rotate the entire maze 90 degrees clockwise.

Meaning of Shapes

The lit shapes tell you what walls are surrounding you, according to the list below:

  • Triangle - In front of you
  • Square - On your right
  • Hexagon - Behind you
  • Octagon - On your left
