Demystifying the Mystic Square

O knight in shining armour, deliver us from the evils of the Windows 7 sliding puzzle game!

This manual provides a solving process to slide the tiles into the order 1–8. For the steps to uncover the skull, see the original manual.

Steps:

1. Get the ‘1’ tile into the top-left corner.
2. Get the ‘2’ and ‘3’ tiles into their correct positions.
   • Get either the ‘2’ tile into the top-right position or the ‘3’ tile into the top-middle position.
   • Whichever tile was moved into the other’s position, slide the other beneath it.
   • Slide the upper tile into its correct position, then the lower tile.
3. Get the ‘4’ and ‘7’ tiles into their correct positions.
   • Get either the ‘4’ tile into the bottom-left position or the ‘7’ tile into the middle-left position.
   • Whichever tile was moved into the other’s position, slide the other to the right of it.
   • Slide the left tile into its correct position, then the right tile.
4. Cycle the ‘5’, ‘6’, and ‘8’ tiles until the module solves.
