On the Subject of Pattern Recognition

Dat dot dot dash? Dats not dot dot dash! Dish dash dot dash!

Note: If the blinking lantern isn’t constantly flashing the same pattern, you are looking at the wrong manual.

A “Pattern Recognition” module has a lantern flashing a consistent pattern of lights of two different lengths - long and short. The module also has a frequency transmitter that can be activated using “TX”.
Use the flashing lantern’s pattern to transmit a resonant frequency that busts the correct internal part and solve the module.

  • A short pulse of light is written as: ●
  • A long pulse of light is written as: ▬
  • The light pattern will cycle repeatedly and can start anywhere in the pattern, whether it be beginning, middle, or end.
  • Determine the flashing pattern and look it up in the table below.
  • Respond at one of the three possible frequencies assigned to the correct pattern.
  • Only 8 of the possible 18 frequencies are available. Transmit the only frequency available that corresponds to the flashing pattern.
