On the Subject of Puzzle Panels
Now I don’t have to think! Woohoo!
The module will initially show a pattern of bright and dark panels. To start, click any square to move to a blank screen.
Clicking any panel will flip that panel and all orthogonally and diagonally adjacent panels.
You must flip a certain set of squares in such a way that the panels are equal to the initial pattern. The number display at the right shows you the maximum number of panels you may flip to get to the pattern.
For each set of flipped panels, there is only one unique combination of flips that will turn the grid into the pattern shown.
To find this combination, start with an empty 4-by-4 grid of squares. Then, consider every flipped (dark) square on the grid of the module.
For each dark square, based on its position in the grid, flip a set of squares on your grid as shown in the tables below.
Although only 3 possible positions are provided, the rest can be found by rotating the provided grids 90° clockwise or anticlockwise and/or flipping them vertically/horizontally.
Once this is done, your grid should be left with 3 flipped squares (or 4 if this is the second stage). Click these squares on the module to complete the puzzle.
Repeat this process for the next stage to solve the module.
