On the Subject of Rubik’s Slide

I can get behind the slidin’, but not so much the rotatin’.

The goal of a Rubik’s Slide puzzle is to rotate or shift the lights into the goal state for nine stages. To view the solution, hold the center light.

Pressing any of the edge arrows will shift the module’s lights in that direction. The lights wrap around.

Pressing any of the corner arrows will rotate the module’s lights either clockwise or counterclockwise. In the first three stages, the lights rotate 90°, and in the last six stages, the lights rotate 45°.

The nine stages get progressively more difficult:

  1. One light of the same color.
  2. Two lights of the same color.
  3. One light of color A and one light of color B.
  4. Three lights of the same color.
  5. Two lights of color A and one light of color B.
  6. Four lights of the same color.
  7. Five lights of the same color.
  8. Two lights of color A and two lights of color B.
  9. Three lights of color A and two lights of color B.

Once all nine stages are complete, the module will solve.
