On the Subject of Scorching Alchemist
A worthy target for the ““Desert Claw””
The module consists of an organic machinery being the remains of a Mark VIII Salamander, also known as a “Scorching Alchemist”.
To protect your home city of Salgin, you will have to slay the beast.
Opening the Shield:
Find in Appendix WEAPONS the sword laying on the module.
If the tail claw on the module is oriented horizontally, you will go down the table; otherwise, you will go up.
Example: Demon Rouser going up brings you to Gustbringer, down brings you to Judgement Halo.
Observe the gears' rotation direction:
If both are rotating “up”, use 8. Otherwise, if only one is rotating “up”, use 4. Otherwise use 1.
Multiply that number by the number of Ports (or by 1 if there are none).
Move this amount in the table, in the direction obtained previously.

The given four-number sequence is the order in which the four shackles must be pressed to destroy them.
1 is the bottom-left one, 2 the bottom-right, 3 the top-left, and 4 the top-right.
Hitting the Heart:
Now that the Shield is open, take note of the number of Monography Platforms that have appeared.
Multiply it by the number of characters the obtained Sword has in common with the Serial Number.
If the Serial Number has repeated characters, ignore subsequent apparitions: Z43ZE9 => Z43E9
Modulo this value by 5 and add 2 to have it in range [2 ; 6].
To Modulo by 5, continuously subtract 5 until the number is in the range [0;4].
Press the heart this many times to slay the beast.
The module will check the number of presses after 2 seconds without pressing the heart.
