On the Subject of Splash Plate
If Space broke, teh coucneeqsnse wuldb eo ayhetly isslobmpurn, iorvtnsaseso cdue.od noeeneb
The Plate on the module is inscribed by a letter and six digits.
A creature of immense power will tear space apart in a precise way. To protect the world, you will need to predict its tearing path and find points of intersection where space-time is the most fragile.
Use the Lustrous Wheel on page 2 to determine the order and orientations of the tears, as a sequence of 8 letters.
Then, count the number of unique intersections points using The Eight Dots and submit it.
- The intersection of two, three, or more segments counts as 1 single intersection point.
-
Two segments sharing one named point do not count as intersecting.
A segment composed of points (A; B) and a segment composed of points (A; C) share point A, but this is not counted as an intersection point for the purposes of this module.
To submit your answer, consider all four buttons on the plate in reading order as a 4-digit binary number.
Top-Left is the most significant digit, and Bottom-Right is the least significant digit.
Press the buttons to count them as a 1, and leave them untouched to count as 0. Pressing the same button again will keep it as a 1.
After two seconds without presses, the number will be submitted, and a Strike or Solve will be given depending on the validity of the submission.
To submit a 0, press all four buttons (submit a 15).
