  • Align the numbers in column 2 such that the row for lit 1 matches its position on the module.
  • Using the serial number, calculate the digit sum modulo 4 and click the cell in the first column of the corresponding row found in the second table.
  • Find each character of the serial number in the third table.
  • From the starting point in the first table, move two steps in the direction indicated.
  • Click the cell if it's empty. Otherwise, keep moving in that direction until you find an empty cell, then click it.
  • Go through the list of conditions and find the corresponding inner, outer, or center for each. Click the cell in the third column for that row to cycle through the options.
  • To read the result: start at 0, count up to find the row with that number in column 1, then read the number in column 2 and the inner, outer, or center from column 3.
