On the Subject of Analyzing The Troll
I spent too much time on this not to make a manual.
The Troll will always be solvable regardless of the arrangement of modules on the bomb.
Normal solving steps
- Press The Troll (M % 13) + (S % 7) + 1 times.
- where M is the number of solvable (non-needy) non-Troll modules
- where S is the number of solved non-Troll modules.
- Solve exactly two other modules.
- Press The Troll when the last digit is equal to battery count % 10.
Earning a strike resets the module.
Special case
- Solving other modules can be skipped in there’s less than 3 unsolved non-Troll modules.
- The above count includes any solvable module (including quirky modules like bosses and semi-bosses) and excludes needies.
- In these cases, a viable cheese is to spam The Troll whenever the correct last digit of the timer is shown (to avoid the above math).
- In all other cases, this step cannot be skipped.
- But, you can force this step to be skipped by just solving The Troll at the end.
