On the Subject of Tricky Tetris Pieces

No mistakes. Eyes wide open.

This module consists of a Tetris board that's filled in with several pieces. Your goal is to select the correct pieces at the right times.

To start, the board is filled with Tetris pieces in various different color palettes. The list of palettes is found later in this manual. The first ten entries are normal NES Tetris palettes, while the rest are glitchy.

On the module, there will be exactly one piece that uses a normal palette. Identify and press it to continue the module. Pressing an incorrect piece will cause a strike, but the board will not change.

After pressing the correct piece, the rest of the pieces on the board will change to match the palette of the pressed piece. A timer on the top of the module will start counting down. The pieces will slowly convert to a different palette as the timer decreases. Identify this new palette and take note of its ID number* from the table found later in the manual.

In this 10×10 grid of Tetris pieces, find the number that corresponds to the level number of the pressed piece's palette. Locate the shape** of the pressed piece and find the individual tile with the shortest Manhattan distance from the number. If there's a tie, use the first tile in reading order.

Count forward in reading order the number of the tiles equal to the ID number* of the new color palette, looping back to the top-left after the bottom-right. Determine the new piece you have landed on, then press a piece on the module with the same shape** when the module's timer contains an odd amount of digits in that piece's palette ID number*. If there are no instances of the found piece on the module, press the same piece as before. The module will solve if done correctly.

Pressing the wrong piece or a correct piece at the wrong time, or letting the timer run out will cause a strike and the module will reset and generate a different board of pieces.

*If over half of the modules on the bomb have been solved before selecting the first piece, add 64 to the ID number.
**The rotation of the shape in both the module and manual do not matter.

Here is a table of all the color palettes along with their ID numbers, names, and appearances on the module. If you need help identifying them, press the switch in the bottom-right of the module to reveal two screens. When highlighting a tile, the screens display the shape of the piece the tile is in, and the hex codes corresponding to its colors.
