  • The module displays your 24 digit case insensitive Unique Identity Number (Plus Letters), or UIN(+L).
  • Every second, your UIN(+L) will flash, during which one of the numbers (or letters) changes to a different number (or letter).
  • Pressing the “CONTINUE” button will halt the flashing and changing of numbers (and letters).
  • The “CONTINUE” button can be pressed a second time to continue the flashing and changing of the numbers (and letters). Upon pressing a second time, multiple numbers (and/or letters) will change at once, but no strike will be incurred.
  • To disarm the module, a particular digit (or letter) must be pressed while the flashing is halted. Follow the instructions under the ‘Solving the module’ header to solve the module.
  • If the wrong digit (or letter) is pressed, a strike will be incurred.

Solving the module

  • Take note of the most recently changed digit (or letter).
  • Using this digit (or letter)’s previous value as the column and its new value as the row, find a number in the tables.
  • Now, using the digit (or letter)’s previous value as the row and its new value as the column, find a second number in the tables.
  • If both numbers acquired from the tables are the same, press the digit (or letter) in that position, unless the bomb’s serial number is present in your UIN(+L), in which case press the most recently changed digit (or letter) instead.
  • Otherwise, read the digit (or letter) in the position denoted by the first number, as well as the digit (or letter) in the position denoted by the second number.
  • If both these digits (or letters) are the same, press the digit (or letter) in the position denoted by the first number, or the second number if the bomb’s serial number is present in your UIN(+L).
  • Otherwise, using the first digit (or letter) as the column and the second digit (or letter) as the row, find a new number in the tables. However, if the bomb’s serial number is present in your UIN(+L), use the first digit (or letter) as the row and the second digit (or letter) as the column instead.
  • Press the digit (or letter) in the position denoted by the new number acquired from the tables.
