Base Procedure

  1. Find the square corresponding to the word/colour combinations displayed for the first four flashes.
  2. Remember the last word/colour combination for that stage. For each remembered combination throughout the stages, press YES if at least 1 coordinate is within the current square and NO otherwise.
  3. For each stage afterwards, follow the movement procedure on page 3 with the first four combinations.
  4. Repeat the previous 2 steps mentioned until 5 stages have been completed.

Movement Procedure

  • Consider the number of steps to move ONLY up, down, left, or right to have the square be on the same (row if moving up or down, column if moving left or right) as the furthest word/colour combination in those directions.
  • Out of these amounts, if there is a tie for the most amount of steps taken in those directions, keep the square in its current position.
  • Otherwise, where X is the position of that combination displayed, 1 being the first combination AFTER the blank display, move the square X steps in that direction corresponding with the most amount of steps.
